"Listen to Gauja" in Līgatne by Gūdu rock

This evening at 21:30 a gathering on Līgatne nature trails will take place to go further to listen to the sounds of nature and music, enjoying the evening sunset and music sound.

The author of the idea, Inga Krišāne, remembers from her childhood when, as a little girl, she went to listen to music on the banks of the Gauja River. At the time of the seventies, when the Gauja National Park was just created, this idea came from the Soviet-era Latvian film director Varis Krumins, who at that time worked in the Sigulda forests with an ax. On the other hand, Inga Krišāne recalled that she was present also on the first time when Gunārs Ordelovskis was invited. It was then that the rainbow had settled down and a calm evening had formed. They stood above the Devil, but the musician was her father in the boat.

At that time, the creation of the Gauja National Park was a way of changing all thinking. The first national park was created and what was happening was the area of nature conservation, which was the way to completely change the attitude towards nature and people. It is true that we have not yet evaluated how these events affected the change of consciousness and also the political processes. This was the first time that at that time the word "national" was inserted in the name of an institution. It started the way to create new ideas, change attitudes and all procsus in general.
