Plant parade in Sigulda is a plants fair-exhibition, an opportunity to purchase plants cultivated in Latvia. During event different attractions and competitions will be held, craftsmen fair, possibility to buy garden supplies and equipment.

To open the summer season of the Park of Senses by the Gauja River Steep banks, visitors are invited to the Magical Night of Senses to enjoy the symphony of lights, colours, sounds and flavours.

Ūsiņš Day marks beginning of summer both in nature and household. Ūsiņš himself will come to Valmiermuiža bringing along green grass, leaves on the trees and songs for the visitors.

Valmiera restaurant week will take place from 8 - 14 of May. The doors will open 5 of Valmieras best restaurants offering delishes meals. The restaurant week is part of Riga - Gauja gastronomy region and welcomes visitors with Latvian meals from natural products.

The first race was held in 1997 in Smiltene – a small town rich in cycling traditions. Since 2002 it is named SEB MTB marathon. Today it is one of the largest series of MTB marathons in Europe with about 1800 – 2300 riders participating in each stage

During Sigulda Town Festival many fun and active events will be held - traditional festive procession, amateur performances, concerts and attractions for children. Holiday culmination will be a special concert and open-air party.

We welcome you to Pentecost celebration on June 4 in Birini Castle garden. On this day just as in the old days you will be able to enjoy the Service, the music, paintings and Big country music concert. There will be also a place for outdoor parties, and other celebrations. Pentecost celebration in Birini Castle will once again be among the first summer events in the spacious garden in this season, bringing together some 2,000 participants. Pentecost in Birini castle will be opened with Service at 13:00 by the Pastor Ivars Jēkabsons. Then, as in ancient times "open-air party - Great Šlāgerkoncerts 2017" will begin. We will be able to enjoy more than 20 popular Latvian hit groups. We invite everybody to the dance floor and are happy to maintain the ancient tradition of Pentecost outdoor parties!

Medieval day in Cesis " Smells like history". On this day already next Sunday, you will be taken to the history page of Medieval times and you will be able to attend creative workshops in Cesis Castle garden.

Huge feast, joyful songs and fast dances, the year’s shortest night spent by a bonfire, mysterious rituals and even some love pleasures – all that and lots more is what describes Summer Solstice celebration in Latvia, celebrated since ancient times by honouring century old traditions.

Here is a cycle of Medieval days taking place in Cesis Medieval town. This is the second Medieval day this year and will solve the question about the Medieval tradition of healthy uncleanness.

There are coming Harpers from all over the world for gathering in Dikli. Dikli is the birthplace of Latvia Song and Dance Festival. The world famous festival once started exactly here in Dikli. This year here will come Harpers to enjoy being together and practicing harping. The gathering is held by Koceni county together with talented Harper Laima Jansone
