Līgatne most often is associated with paper, as many of us still remember the Ligatne paper mill that has been operating here. Now, when it is closed, our love for paper has not been changed. The ferry connects the two banks of Gauja always uniting right and left, close and far. We invite you to participate in Līgatne Festival, devoted to conversations and try our natural tastes in restaurants that will be bringing their goods here.

On August 5 there will be celebrated the double event - a celebration of Franz Schubert 220 years and 20 years since the tradition of "Šubertiade" was started. This tradition gathers around itself the best Latvian chamber music talents.

On August 9th Sunset Festival 2017 continues its Summer program with New Zealand’s indie-pop and electro-rock band The Naked and Famous.

Sunset Festival starts their program announcing with “The xx” – one of the world’s most recognized British bands, highly regarded by music critics.
