On May 7 from 11.00 until 15.00 in Valmiermuiža with a great market, traditional delicacies, creative workshops, games and traditions the Ūsiņš day will be celebrated. In the evening at 19.00 in the Valmiermuiža barn Ūsiņš day tradition evening with joyful dances and common signing will be held.

In 2016 for the first time the „Bicycle and Cinema Festival” in Valmiera and Kocēni, Beverīna and Burtnieki counties will be held. This educational and rich with physical activities and cinema-arts festival will also mark the beginning of the summer tourism season.

From May 20 to May 21 the annual „Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Days” in Valmiera will be held. It is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the products and services offered by the local entrepreneurs, as well as to have an insight into the entrepreneurship environment of the Vidzeme region.

For the 12th time the Valmiera Museum invites everyone to the Museum night, which is dedicated to the International Museum Day and whose underlying theme will be – „Time”.

International Museum night is awaited event at the end of spring. Cesis Castle Complex entertains and educates visitors by interactive expositions and thematical concerts, movies, attractions.

Love can be expressed in various ways, one of them is music. At the last weekend of May everyone is invited to Vidzeme regional concert hall’s “Cēsis” anniversary.
