Starting the year of 2023, Enter Gauja National park will participate in international tourism exhibitions in the Netherlands and Finland in order to promote the tourism offer of the Gauja National Park at the Latvian National Stand.

Valmiera Municipality has been a member of the Gauja National Park (GNP) Tourism Association "Enter Gauja" since the very beginning - in 2011. We are proud that Mini Zoo "Mežiņi" has become a member of the GNP Tourism Association "Enter Gauja" since October this year and can enjoy special member benefits, thus developing its tourism offer and promoting the influx of travellers from near and far.

As the autumn’s fullness approaches its conclusion, residents of Valmiera and city guests know that it is time not only to look for a warmer jacket, to which the national flag symbol will soon be proudly attached, but also to book a table in one of Valmiera's cosy restaurants and cafes to enjoy the exquisite combinations of autumn flavours during Valmiera Restaurant Week from November 18 to 27. Guests will be pampered with a special three-course meal and a matched drink menu by six caterers from Valmiera.

Cēsis is also notable for a few trails that cross the municipality. Below are a few routes that we recommended for anyone who enjoys nature, hiking and biking!

There is no shortage of exhibition rooms and museums in Cēsis Municipality! You should definitely visit at least one of them. We have provided a small summary below!

Traditionally, on the third weekend of July, from July 15 to July 17, Cēsis will celebrate its biggest holiday of the year - "Cēsis 816".

The Cēsis Castle complex will be open to visitors from May 1: the permanent exposition and exhibitions of the Cēsis History and Art Museum, the Cēsis Exhibition House, the Western Tower of the Medieval Castle and the multimedia exhibition “Cēsis Castle Story”, as well as the South Tower exposition kitchen garden.

Spring - a time when nature begins to wake up, chasing the first sprouts and plucking the cheeks with the warm rays of the sun. This is a time when we are not only becoming happier, looking for a lighter jacket and embracing the nature even more, but also when we want to supplement our taste buds with fresh spring goods and vitamins. The selected compositions of the taste of spring will be available to enjoy during the Valmiera Restaurant Week, from April 15th to 24th. Guests with a special three-course meal and a matching drink menu will be pampered by eight Valmiera caterers: restaurants DELIZIA, AKUSTIKA, RĀTES VĀRTI, VECPUISIS, the restaurant at the hotel WOLMAR and cafes VĪNKALNI PILS MĀJA, AHH-MEAT and TĒRBATA.
