On May 30, Līgatne will offer a special experience for everyone eager to discover the spirit of the town, step into the atmosphere of the paper mill era, and enjoy a scenic hike along the Līgatne River.

Summer Solstice at Mākoņi begins on 20 June — with fire, clay and the power of togetherness. Every year on this day, the black clay kiln Devoniņš is fired, where more than a hundred pieces are created — mugs, bowls, plates and other works that bring the true Summer Solstice feeling to life.

Celebrate Summer Solstice in Turaida with a full day dedicated to ancient traditions, rituals, workshops, music and togetherness under the motto “Over the Hill” (Pār kalniņu). From sunrise rituals to evening dances, visitors are invited to experience the rich heritage of Latvian Midsummer celebrations in one of the most symbolic cultural landscapes in Latvia

Only once a year do you get the chance to welcome the Midsummer sunrise at the Gauja estuary, surrounded by a boat, kayaks, live music, and breakfast on the water. In the early morning of June 21st, join Boards You for one of the most magical sunrises of the year.

On 5 September 2006, the Zaube Wild Food Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary. This year, under the theme “Source of Strength”, the festival will once again bring together nature and culinary professionals and enthusiasts at Zaube Manor Park, by Lake Lejas and Lake Augšezers.

When the fields have been harvested, cellars filled with preserves for winter, and everything grown and gathered during the summer is ready to be brought to the table, it is time to celebrate the harvest. On 19 September from 11:00 to 15:00, Valmiermuiža will host its Miķeļdiena Harvest Festival and Market, bringing together local producers, artisans and autumn enthusiasts from near and far.
