Martin's Day is the celebration when Latvians welcome the winter - the autumn harvest has been harvested and it is time to bring it to the table.

As part of Sigulda Restaurant Week, guests are invited to enjoy three-course meals from a selection of restaurants in Sigulda and the surrounding area. Each restaurant will offer meal sets for two prices – 15 and 20 euros.

During Valmiera Restaurants' Week from November 5 - 11, in the restaurants of the city of Valmiera, Kocēni and Burtnieki Counties, the menu will be drawn up by the autumn itself. Lingonberries, cranberries, game meat, quinces, pumpkins, fish, mushrooms and other flavours will be found in the colourful and vitamin-rich meals.

In the year of the 100th anniversary of Latvia, Lāčplēsis Day in Cesis will be the most ambitious. In addition to the usual events - the festive greeting at the Monument to the Students’ Company (Skolnieku rotas piemineklis), the torch procession, the devotional at the Lejas Cemetery, and the multimedia performance at the Cēsis Castle Park with projections and the medieval walls.
